Like many marketers I am a closet creative with a love for amazing photos. I am plagued with a desire to take just one great photograph.
Inspired by the birth of my eldest, I bought my first proper camera in 2006 and have been trying to take great photos ever since. This has seen me drag the family on many a photo shoot, attend a short evening class and cover the house in my many attempts.
My success to date has been more accident than design but I have been fortunate to have taken a few photos that I am am happy with and many that will never see the light of day.
Lost in shots is inspired by my friend and colleague Sarah Kemp with her successful and engaging blog Food for Think. After months of discussion I have finally succumbed to capturing my thoughts in blog format.
This blog is intended to be a journal of my journey through the world of photography as I learn and experience the many facets of this skill in the hope of taking that great shot. I will explore all elements of photography from the shot to the production and I hope that others can benefit from my thoughts and experiences.
I hope that you enjoy lifeinshots and encourage you to leave me your thoughts. Any comments, criticism and advice are welcome as there is no doubt this will help with my journey.
Enjoy
Alex
